Vale Nicole Kullen
Dressage NSW is saddened to hear of the recent passing of Nicole Kullen and express our sincere condolences to Nicole’s mother Margaret and family at this difficult time.
Nicole was well known to many in the dressage and Para-Equestrian community and greatly admired for her strength, determination and for her courage in dealing with the serious illness she lived with for over twenty years.
Nicole contacted Meningococcal Meningitis Septicemia in 1996 at the age of 18.
Her beautiful smile and warm personality endeared her to all who met her.
In 2000, Nicole started competing in Dressage and Para-Equestrian competitions at EA level and with RDAA (Riding for the Disabled). Nicole was one of the special people who had a real passion and feel for horses which resulted in Nicole representing Australia at International level in Para-Equestrian.
Some of Nicole’s achievements in Para-Equestrian included;
- Silver & Bronze at 2007 World Para-Dressage Championships
- 4th Place in Freestyle at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games
- Member of 2010 Kentucky FEI World Equestrian Games Team
